With your participation in this class, you will discover and learn unique culture on different types of traditional food, spices used and on how food is prepared in a local hosting. You will also have an experience to visit the market, buy the ingredients and participate in preparation, cooking as well as enjoy the meal we cooked together.
With your participation in this class, you will discover and learn unique culture on different types of traditional food, spices used and on how food is prepared in a local hosting. You will also have an experience to visit the market, buy the ingredients and participate in preparation, cooking as well as enjoy the meal we cooked together.
For the cooking class they will participate in a Hands-on experience in cooking the planned local meal. from buying/ learning about the ingredients, preparation and cooking.
1. Pick up the guests from their accommodation/ meet them at the agreed station.
2. Briefly go through the itinerary of the day together and each guest gets a bottle of mineral water.
3. After going through the itinerary, start off the journey and head on to the market for the market experience as well as buying the ingredients for the meal of the day. This will be a unique experience to learn how our local market operates, how the food is displayed, interact with the local sellers.
3. After the market tour, we head on to the house, where guests will be welcomed with something to snack on and after get in the kitchen to prepare and cook the meal. This is a hands-on experience and everyone gets to participate.
4. Once the meal is cooked, we all sit and enjoy the meal together as a family as we continue to interact.
5. Thereafter, the guests are dropped at their place of accommodation/ drop off at the airport according to plan.
6 . A recipe document is sent via email in-case needed for future use.

• Kenyan spiced beef rice/ Pilau – served with salad (kachumbari- this is a mixture of onions, cilantro,tomatoes seasoned with black pepper and salt)
