Natural steam vents rise from fissures in the volcanic rock. Obsidian, a striking black glassy rock formed from cooled molten lava is a feature of this landscape. Game to view includes: Buffaloes, Masai Giraffes, Elands, Coke’s Hartebeests, Lions, Leopards and some Cheetahs. A haven for ornithologists and rock climbers, the cliffs of Hell’s Gate are breeding grounds for Vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles, Augur Buzzard and thousands of swifts; 103 species of birds have been recorded in the Park.

Pass By: Nairobi, Nairobi
Depart in the morning from Nairobi City. Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya and the hub of Africa.The name comes from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nairobi, which translates to “cool water”, a reference to the Nairobi River which flows through the city. The city proper had a population of 4,397,073 in the 2019 census, while the metropolitan area has a population of 9,354,580. The city is popularly referred to as the Green City in the Sun
Stop At: Rift Valley Province, Rift Valley Province
we drive south through the dramatic Great Rift Valley with a stopover at the view point to see the escarpment. While still at the view point you can see the volcanic mountains of Longonot and Margarita from a distance.

Pass By: Lake Naivasha, Naivasha Road Nakuru County Kenya
Continue down to Mai Mahiu, a small business cosmopolitan town at the junction of Narok and Naivasha, driving into the Great Rift Valley floor, to enjoy the scenic views of Hills, Valleys, Escarpment and Mountains found in the great rift valley some of which were formed as a result of Volcanic activities e.g Mt. Longonot which you will see from a distance on your way to Lake Navaisha, one of the fresh water lakes found within the Great Rift Valley.
Stop At: Hell’s Gate National Park, Lake Road South South of Lake Naivasha, Naivasha 20117 Kenya
You then continue on to Hell’s Gate National Park to arrive at 0930 Hours. Once at the Park, you have the option of a game drive in a Safari vehicle or take bikes into the Park. Cycling in the Park is a great adventure as you get to ride the bikes for 7 Kilometers before resting at a ranger’s post. After a brief stop at the rangers post you leave the bike and start a walking safari. Enjoy the spectacular views of the gorge. The walking excursion safari takes 3 hours. The hot springs and a fabulous scenic landscape besides the diverse game are just incredible. Walk back to pick your bikes and return to the vehicle for the 90 kms journey back to Nairobi to end your short walking excursion.

It was named after German explorer — Gustav Fischer, who was sent to find a route from Mombasa to lake Victoria.
In Masai folklore, the tower is a Masai girl who turned to stone after looking back on her home, while on the way to her future husband — contrary to tradition.
Today, it is used as a rock climbing destination.

Stop At: Ol Njorowa Gorge, Nakuru, Kenya
The Central Tower and Njorowa Gorges, considered the jewels of Hells’gate – 24kms long ravine lined with sheer cliffs and endowed with hot water springs feeding a stream that meanders down the floor of the gorge as it cuts its way through the rugged and semi arid surrounding landscape.
