7-Day Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Samburu Safari from Nairobi

Samburu has a wealth of wildlife in a relatively small area – elephants are legion and there are plenty of lions, leopards and cheetahs picking on the grazing antelope, zebra and other species drawn here for water and grazing.
The safari is based on joining other for Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru part with a PRIVATE safari to Lake Naivasha, Hell’s Gate and Samburu National Reserve.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai mara

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Narok 00100 Kenya
Pick up at 8 am from city centre and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the great rift valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley. Lunch will be picnic on the way.
In the afternoon,depart for a game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve from 4 pm.

Dinner and Overnight Lenchada Touristic Camp

Duration: 6 hours

These are big tents with a bed, Mosquito nets and are self contained. With Hot water

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Narok 00100 Kenya
Spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the Reserve as you scale the Mara beauty.
we will see large hippos and nile crocodiles sitted at the banks of Mara river. You will have a picnic lunch in the park.
Dinner and Overnight Lenchada Touristic Camp
Duration: 6 hours

Stop At: Mara River, Maasai Mara National Reserve 00200 Kenya
You will have a picnic lunch in the Mara river area. You will have a chance to walk with guides along the bank if lucky you spot the nesting crocodiles.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 3: Depart Maasai Mara to Nakuru

Stop At: Ololaimutiek, Ololaimutiek, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
You will enjoy the last early morning game drive in Mara Reserve followed by breakfast.
This day before leaving you have the option of visiting the local traditional maasai tribe to learn more about their culture and lifestyle. You will visit the villages near the accomodation.
Thereafter commence the drive to Nakuru you will have lunch at a hotel on the way to Nakuru.
Dinner and Overnight Lanet Matfarm Resort

This is a luxury resorts on the outskirts of Nakuru, with swimming, Wifi ,3course meals

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha/Hell’s Gate

Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Rift Valley Province
You will have an early breakfast and depart by 6.30am to straight to the park. Its a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos which form part of the Big five animals. There is also a possibility to see the pink flamingos . The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you depart on a 1 hour drive to Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch at hotel. After lunch, you will go to hell’s gate for biking safari. You will later go for an hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha for bird watching and hippo viewing.

Stop At: Hell’s Gate National Park, Lake Road South South of Lake Naivasha, Naivasha 20117 Kenya
What makes Hells Gate National Park in Kenya such a unique experience is the fact you can enjoy a walking and a cycling safari here, getting up close and personal with the animals and breathing in all that amazing scenery.

Stop At: Lake Naivasha, Naivasha Road Nakuru County Kenya
A trip to the lake will treat you to a stunning forest of Acacia Xanthophlea, as you enjoy the magnificent sight of buffalos wallowing in the swampy, marshy areas or the humungous hippos sleeping in the shallow ends of the lake. You will enjoy a 1 hour boat ride in the lake.

Day 5: Naivasha to Samburu

Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Nairobi Kenya
Breakfast at the hotel and at 7 am, depart to Samburu National Reserve located in the Northern Kenya. Have lunch on the way to arrive Samburu in time for an evening game viewing. Samburu is famous for its truly wild semi-arid landscape, and the large concentration of wild animals and bird-life. Together with the adjoining Shaba and Buffalo Springs national reserves, Samburu is popular for hosting the rare Northern-Kenya animal species (Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich) which are not found in the other popular parks and reserves in Kenya. It is also home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah and leopard), alongside other big game including elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, impala, water-buck and many others. Day 6: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Early morning game drive in the reserve. Later, return to the camp for breakfast. Rest of the mid-morning at relaxation. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight Samburu Sopa Lodge
Duration: 7 hours

Day 7: Samburu to Nairobi

Stop At: CBD, 400 Tom Mboya St, Nairobi, Kenya
Early morning game viewing.Return to the lodge for breakfast and thereafter drive back to Nairobi with lunch on the way.
