5 Days Classic Masai Mara- Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha Hell’s Gate National Park

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi-Masai Mara National game reserve

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
Your safari will kickstart with a pickup from your hotel in Nairobi. Your day will begin by about 7:30 AM depending on your pick up location. Heading out towards the day’s destination, the drive to Masai Mara will be covered in about 6 hours. Along the way, you will have a small stop over at the viewpoint to see the great depression of the rift valley. You will reach Masai Mara National Reserve by noon, just in time for a good lunch. You will have a short afternoon game drive. A freshly prepared dinner awaits you on returning from the game drive. Have a good night’s rest enchoro wildlife camp superior tented accommodation, for tomorrow you will explore the park thoroughly.

Day 2: Masai Mara National game reserve

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
After an early breakfast, you will head out for a full day game drive by 6:30 AM. The 1510 Km Sq park is home to the famous Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino), wildebeest, giraffe, hippo and outrageous crocodiles near the Mara river. If it is your lucky day you might even witness a kill. The abundant resident population of zebras, impalas, gazelles, ostrich, and topi attract numerous predators creating an exciting game viewing experience. Your picnic lunch will be done inside the park during the game drive itself. The full day game drive will come to a close in the evening by 5 PM, followed by a delicious dinner. Ensure you get some good night sleep and recharge yourself for the next day’s adventure.

Day 3: Masai Mara-Lake Nakuru National Park

Finishing up with a good breakfast, you will head out for another short game drive in Masai Mara. Then leave Masai Mara and proceed to Narok town where you will have lunch. The drive from Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru is about 6 hr drive, Arriving at the accommodation in Lake Nakuru for dinner and an essential rest.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National park-Lake Naivasha Hell’s Gate National Park

Stop At: Hell’s Gate National Park, Lake Road South South of Lake Naivasha, Naivasha 20117 Kenya
After an early breakfast spend the morning in Nakuru park where you have a chance to see flamingos among other birds[about 350 species recorded]. This is also home to the black and the white rhinoceros. The park has also been established for the protection of endangered species such as the Rhino and also home to Columbus monkeys. Leopards, giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope. Your packed lunch shall be served in the park as you continue with your game drives. Depart for Lake Naivasha for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha-Nairobi

Stop At: Nairobi, Nairobi
After an early breakfast you can visit Hells gate National park where you will have a chance to visit the Geothermal Power Plant in Ol Karia and the Hot Springs. This is the only park that allows transport by walking and cycling and also a boat ride. This activity is optional and at extra cost. Based on your decision you will head back to Nairobi after lunch and be drop to the airport or the hotel in Nairobi town center.
