Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Marsabit

Stop At: Mt. Ololokwe, Kenya
Early morning depart for Marsabit with a brief stop for breakfast (own account) in Nanyuki. We will make another stopover for photos and sightseeing at Mt Ololokwe.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Marsabit National Park, 2 Gates; Ahmed with an exit at Karare, and Abdul to the park headquarters Main entrance at Ahmed Gate, GPS: 2.319191, 37.982908, Marsabit 60500 Kenya
After lunch in Marsabit Town, drive to Marsabit National Park and up the mountain to the beautiful Lake Paradise.

Stop At: Nanyuki Town, Nanyuki Town, Nanyuki Municipality, Laikipia County, Rift Valley Province
Located 6.5km north of the equator, Nanyuki town is the current county headquarters.
Nanyuki hosts the main Kenya Air Force airbase and the British Army training camp. It’s always booming with business activity as residents strive to satisfy the needs of tourists and army officers who reside in the town.

Day 2: Marsabit – North Horr

Stop At: Chalbi Desert, Marsabit Kenya
Depart for North Horr, a beautiful oasis at the edge of Chalbi Desert. On this day you get to drive through Chalbi Desert – a fun and adventurous ride.
The tour will take you through the Maikona and Kalacha oasis, a pleasant surprise in the middle of the very arid countryside. Spend the evening in cottages at the edge of the desert- North Horr.
You can as well enjoy a swim at the heart of the desert.
Enjoy the beauty of Chalbi and North Horr and spend the night star gazing.

Day 3: North Horr – Loiyangalani

Stop At: Lake Turkana, Chalbi Desert Kenya
Depart for Loiyangalani driving south crossing through Chalbi desert once more enjoying the amazing sand dunes. Check-in at Oasis Resort.
After lunch visit Lake Turkana is formerly known as Lake Rudolf or Jade Sea.
Lake Turkana in Kenya has an allure for intrepid travelers that is hard to resist. European aristocracy, British royalty, journalists and adventurers have visited the Jade Sea and marvelled at its unique features.
The Jade Sea is all the more astonishing because it is found in the midst of a desert. This massive body of iridescent, blue-green water is surrounded by spectacular volcanic formations and dark pink hills. An island in the lake has an active volcano and the entire region including a number of national parks is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, tour around the lake and the famous El molo people living on the shores of the lake and who depend 100% on the lake for survival. If you are out for some adventure you can visit Southern Island by boat.

Stop At: Loiyangalani, Loiyangalani, Turkana District, Rift Valley Province
Loiyangalani is a small town located on the southeastern coast of Lake Turkana in Kenya. Loiyangalani means “a place of many trees” in the native Samburu tongue. It is home to Turkana people and was founded near a freshwater spring in the 1960s where the El Molo people live. Its main industries include fishing, tourism and gold panning. It is a popular tourist destination in Northern Kenya, as the surrounding El Molo and Turkana villages offer unique experiences.

Day 4: Loiyangalani – Ngurunit

Stop At: Ndoto Mountains, Kenya
Today we drive further south to Ngurunit; an oasis surrounded by tens of mountains popularly known as ndotos.

Arrive in Ngurunit in the early afternoon. – Lunch at Lasamu Camp.
Surrounded by Ndoto Mountains and Matthew ranges. This is among the most beautiful places in Northern Kenya. Arrive for lunch at Lasamu Camp.
Afternoon walks up the ndoto streams, natural pools of water and enjoy dipping in the pools or a swim.
Duration: 2 hours

Pass By: Ngurunit, South Horr, South Horr 20604 Kenya
Ngurunit is located in the most beautiful scenery of the Ndoto Mountains, in the shadow of Mount Poi and next to the Ngurunit River.

Day 5: Ngurunit – Nairobi

Stop At: Ngurunit, South Horr, South Horr 20604 Kenya
Breakfast at the Camp.
In the morning visit the basket project for some souvenirs.
You can visit the rockside springs once again before we head out for a long drive back to Nairobi.
Stop over in Nanyuki for late lunch and then proceed to Nairobi.
Arrive in Nairobi in the evening – around 2000 hrs.
Drop off at a central point in Nairobi.
