3 Days Mt Kasigau Climb.

Mount Kasigau, located in Taita-Taveta County is part of the Eastern Arc Mountains bordering the southernmost reaches of Tsavo West National Park. Located a third of the way between the Taita Hills and the Indian Ocean it rises 1600m above the Taru Desert, with savannah plains below giving way to its high montane forest. The hill is an ideal hideout and awesome hiking destination.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi -Voi- KASIGAU

Stop At: Kasigau, Kenya
On this day we will all meet up at the railway station for a departure to Voi through SGR.
Upon arrival we will head to Voi town for Optional Lunch
We will then transfer to Kasigau Hill for our dinner and overnight Stay
Dinner and overnight stay at the Banda Camp.
Duration: 3 hours

Day 2: FULL DAY HIKE- KASIGAU

Stop At: Kasigau Forest, Kenya
An early breakfast then Embark on a hike through the dense forest cover, rocky outcrops and the magnificent views of the Kasigau Rock , Pass through the ancient farms ( by luck you can get ripe oranges/lemons )
The hike takes 6-7 hours to climb to and from . …
The terrain is moderate steep to very steep and few rocky terrain as you approach the windy summit, The scenery is immense as you bush whack. Few animals can be spotted by luck.
We will descend back to our camp for rest.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Banda /camp

Day 3: Kasigau – Nairobi

Stop At: Kasigau, Kenya
After an early morning breakfast we will depart for Voi where we will catch our afternoon train ride to Nairobi.
