3-Day Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo is situated between Nairobi and Mombasa and made up of two separate parks, Tsavo East and West. This 3-day safari will take you to visit both parks. Tsavo, opened in 1948, is the oldest park in Kenya. The slightly larger Tsavo East is generally flat, with dry plains and the Galana River. Tsavo West National Park is wetter and more mountainous. Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo East

Stop At: Tsavo National Park East, Tsavo National Park East, Coast Province
You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning, and begin your journey to Tsavo Park. Along the Mombasa – Nairobi highway, you will see elephants drinking from a watering hole near the lodge. Upon arrival in the park, ou will enter through the Bachuma gate in Tsavo East National Park and check-in at the Voi Safari Lodge for lunch. After lunch you will have time to relax or have a swim. In the afternoon you will enjoy a game drive to view the ‘Red Elephants’ of Tsavo, lion, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, and numerous other species of wildlife. You will visit Aruba Dam, where a number of aquatic birds can be seen. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park

Stop At: Tsavo National Park West, Tsavo National Park West, Coast Province
You will rise early and embark on a morning game drive and then return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you will check-out and drive to Tsavo West. Upon arrival in Tsavo West, you will check-in at Ngulia Safari Lodge, have lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive. Tsavo West is known for bird life and for its large mammal population, including the black rhino, buffalo, elephant, leopard, hippo and lion. Later in the evening you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Tsavo West – Mombasa

Pass By: Mombasa, Mombasa, Coast Province
You will rise early for a sunrise game drive and then return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you will check-out and enjoy your final game drive as you exit the park. You will stop in Voi Town for lunch. After lunch you will continue your journey to Mombasa. Upon arrival in Mombasa you will be dropped off at your designated hotel. This is where your safari will end.
