Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa – Taita Hills

Stop At: Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, Tsavo West Off Voi Taveta Highway, Tsavo National Park West Kenya
We pick you up early morning at your residence and drive to Taita Hills Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a small 110 square kilometre sanctuary in the West of Tsavo East. En route to Taita Hills Lodge, where you will have lunch, you will get the first insight on Kenya’s amazing wildlife. Lions, giraffes, oryx antelopes, lesser kudu and many smaller species live in the beautiful plains at the foot of the Taita Hills. It is also home to over 50 species of mammals and 300 species of birds. After lunch, we continue to the Salt Lick Lodge. After check-in, before we proceed with the afternoon game drives you will have time to enjoy the incomparable experience viewing elephants coming to the waterhole at the lodge, almost face to face.

Meals included:
• Lunch: Lunch will be taken at the Taita Hills Lodge.It is located at the main entrance to the sanctuary.
• Dinner: A delicious dinner will be served at the Salt Lick Lodge located in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.
Accommodation included: Overnight sharing a double room at Salt Lick Lodge, a charming safari escape overlooking a waterhole and the plains.

Day 2: Taita Hills – Tsavo East

Stop At: Tsavo National Park East, Tsavo National Park East, Coast Province
After a morning game drive breakfast is served at the lodge before we proceed to Tsavo East National Park, one of the oldest & largest parks in Kenya at 13,747 square km, established in 1948. It’s popularity is mostly due to the vast amounts of diverse wildlife there, including the ‘big five’: The Masai lion, black rhino, buffalo, elephant and leopard. Enjoy enchanting landscapes, observe more wildlife and feel like an explorer when driving through the savannah in a 4 WD Landcruiser, perfectly suitable for the game drives. Lunch will be taken at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge, your accommodation for the night. You may want to relax at the pool or have a nap in your luxury tent before the late afternoon game drive starts. After dinner, sitting on your veranda where – we are sure – you won’t be able to stop stargazing at the vast African sky, listening to the nocturnal noises of the bush, the “smell of peace & freedom” will capture your spirit. A moment made to become an unforgettable memory.

Day 3: Tsavo East – Mombasa

Stop At: Mombasa, Mombasa, Coast Province
Before departing to Mombasa you will do an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. Upon arrival in Mombasa, you’ll have a short city tour of approximately 30 minutes to get a brief insight into the bustling city. We pass the famous tusks on Moi avenue and we pass Fort Jesus, built between 1593 and 1596 by order of King Philip I of Portugal, to guard the Old Port of Mombasa. Maintained by the Portuguese it is recognised as a testament to the first successful attempt by a Western power to establish influence over the Indian Ocean trade. Before we arrive at the Royal Castle hotel for a farewell lunch you will also see the Mama Ngine Drive, overlooking the ocean bay, the entry to Mombasa’s port.
After lunch we will bring you to your residence, enriched with many new impressions and joyful moments to remember.
