Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi

Day 2: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve
Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
Check out of your hotel and drive via Narok town to Maasai Mara National Reserve, home of the Maasai tribe. The proud, young Maasai warrior-nomads with their plaited hair, red cloaks and spears will inspire you. Maasai Mara is a 700 square mile game reserve and is the Africa you know from your dreams, complete with wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscape of gentle hills and acacia woodlands. Check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch. There will be time to settle in before your first game drive. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve and return to camp before dark. Your dinner and overnight will be at the Wajee Tented Camp.

Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Today you may opt to have a full day of uninterrupted game driving or take a hot air balloon ride (not included in the safari price). If you choose the balloon ride, you will take to the skies for the ultimate Maasai Mara wildlife adventure. Soar over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara. You’ll ascend in the early morning when the winds are calmest. Watch as the professional crew fills the balloon with hot air. Slowly the big, colorful bag begins to bulge and take shape.

Day 4: Maasai Mara National Reserve

After your incredible flight, it’s time to come back down to earth for breakfast. You might wonder what all the ordinary people are doing on this perfect African morning! Before leaving, the pilot will present you with your balloon flight certificate, after which you’ll enjoy a game drive en route back to the camp. No flight of the imagination can match this airborne experience! Your dinner and overnight will be at the Wajee Tented Camp.

Day 5: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Rift Valley Province
After an early breakfast you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park in the west. You will ascend the eastern wall of the Great Rift Valley, where lush coffee and tea plantations dot the landscape. Your driver-guides will give you a brief overview about coffee and tea farming in Kenya along the way, and you will have a short stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photographs. You will arrive in Lake Nakuru in time for lunch, after which you will set off for a game drive in the park in search of the big five: lions, rhinos, leopards, buffaloes and elephants. Lake Nakuru is also famous for the millions of flamingoes and migrant birds that dot its shores. In fact, Nakuru has over 425 different bird species. Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Jinja

After breakfast you will depart Nakuru for Jinja, driving across the Malaba border in the process. You will tour the source of the world’s longest river: the Nile. It begins its journey here before crossing through ten African countries and plunging into the Mediterranean Sea. Jinja town is regarded as the adventures capital of East Africa. It is brimming with adventure sports and activities, including white water rafting, bungee jumping, and kayaking. Overnight at Hotel Paradise.

Day 7: Jinja – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Western Region
Early morning breakfast, then be transferred by Silver Spark Africa Safaris guide to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to track mountain gorillas. This journey is thrilling with stunning views to check out; the vehicle may be stopped whenever you want to take excellent pictures. Stop in Mbarara for lunch and drive on to Bwindi, you will reach late and check into your lodge where you will enjoy a great view of this Impenetrable forest. Sleep to the different sounds of the birds and flowing water in the forest. Dine and rest as you prepare for an adventure the following day.

Day 8: Gorilla tracking in the rain tropical forest
Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Western Region
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and continue to the headquarters of the park. You are generously requested to maintain a distance while you observe them. Remember to observe Silence and don’t forget to turn off the camera flash since it distracts them. At the end of some great time with the gorillas, you will rest back at the lodge.
You will have a village walk in the evening to interact with the Batwa people. You will have an opportunity to learn about the survival of these people in the area. Visit a local school; the women craft shop as well as observe their local process of brewing alcohol. There is a local traditional healer who you will visit, and be entertained by children, men and women with traditional songs and dances. At the end of this great day you will head back to the lodge for dinner and the night’s rest.

Day 9: Transfer to Kibale Forest

Have a delicious breakfast and move out of your lodge and drive off to Kibale National Parkto trek chimpanzees. This journey will be thrilling as you will watch the beautiful Kabale scenery, observe the locals cultivating the hill tops. The vehicle will stop and you will be able to take photos. You will be pleased by the peaceful weather. Arrive in the late evening, check into your accommodation of preference. Whatever you decide, you will enjoy the spectacular vistas looking over the park. Day 10: Kibale Forest
Stop At: Kibale National Park, Kibale National Park, Western Region
Early breakfast, continue with Silver Spark Africa Safaris guide to Kibale Forest to trek chimpanzees. The experience is wonderful since you will see several primates like L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Baboons, Blue Monkeys Black & White Colobus Monkeys, Red Colobus Monkeys and Grey Cheeked Mangabey, some animals in the park. Eventually meet the chimpanzees feed, watch them play and others jumping from branch to branch. Ensure that your camera is nearby to take the finest shots which will make your safari unforgettable. Head back to the lodge and return to Kampala. In case you have a plane to catch, transfer to the airport, otherwise check into a hotel and rest.

Day 11: Kibale – Jinja
Stop At: Jinja, Jinja, Eastern Region
Right after breakfast you will drive to Jinja, stopping for lunch in Kampala. Once in Jinja, you will again explore the source of the Nile, which was discovered by the legendary John Hanning Speak. The Nile is Africa’s longest river, and it flows northwards up the continent through Egypt and into the Mediterranean Sea. You will have a good chance to do water rafting today. Your dinner and your overnight stay will be at Hotel Paradise.

Day 12: Jinja – Lake Naivasha
Stop At: Lake Naivasha, Naivasha Road Nakuru County Kenya
After breakfast you will drive to Lake Naivasha, stopping for lunch en route. Upon arrival, you will have ample time to relax in your room or you can opt to go on an afternoon boat ride. Later you will return to your banda to dine and spend the night at Chambai Safari Hotel.

Day 13: Green Crater Lake
Stop At: Naivasha, Naivasha, Rift Valley Province
Breakfast will be at 7:00 am, after which your driver-guide will pick you up at 8:00am. The road to the Green Crater Lake takes you out of Naivasha and along a rough and bumpy path down the edge of lake, passing by huge greenhouses where roses and other flowers are grown for the export market. You will arrive at Green Crater Lake at approximately 9:30am, at which point you will begin your morning game walk.
The Green Crater Lake was formed by volcanic activity. You will walk in a reserve where it’s possible to get up close with giraffe and many varieties of antelope. It’s a great opportunity for photos! The guides will answer questions about the animals, bird life etc. and point out the rocks that formed due to the volcanic activity. At 12:00pm you will leave for lunch at Carnelley’s Camp. In the afternoon you can enjoy some optional activities like cycling around the village or taking a small powerboat out on the lake (cost not included).

Day 14: Lake Naivasha – Arusha

After breakfast we will depart for Arusha via Nairobi. Our journey will take us across the border into Tanzania, and we will arrive in the picturesque town of Arusha in time for lunch. Arusha sits at the foot of rugged Mount Meru and is the gateway to most of Tanzania’s safari areas. The afternoon will be spent at your leisure. Your dinner and overnight will be at charity Hotel.

Day 15: Arusha – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will transfer to the famous Serengeti National Park. This park is to Tanzania what the Maasai Mara Game Reserve is to Kenya. Covering 14,763 sq km, the Serengeti is dominated by vast, open plains and an abundance of wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided en route, and the afternoon will be spent game viewing and absorbing the breathtaking scenery. Overnight at Savannah Serengeti Camp.
