Stop At: Nairobi National Park, Langata Road, Nairobi Kenya
Pick up from you Nairobi location at 5:30 AM
Drive to the Nairobi National Park. The park’s proximity to a large urban center is unique in Africa. Aside from elephants, all of the Big Five are present. There is a good population of black rhino which are easily seen grazing on the open plains.

Stop At: Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Mbagathi Road Kws Workshop Entrance – Nairobi National Park, Nairobi 00503 Kenya
After the National Park, Visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage which is located a short drive from the Park.The Orphanage was founded and is still being managed by the family of Daphne Sheldrick, the widow of one of Kenya’s best known Game Wardens David Sheldrick. David was at the center of stopping Poaching in Tsavo National Park in 1970. Today, the Sheldrick orphanage is a focal point for Elephant Conservation. Calves orphaned by poachers are brought here from all over the country to receive specialized treatment from highly dedicated staff who become surrogate mothers.

Leave the Elephant orphanage at 12:00 pm for the Giraffe Centre. The centre has been ostensibly set up as a breeding centre for the endangered Rothschild giraffe and also operates conservation/education programs.
There is good information on giraffes available here. You will see, close at hand, how they use their long, prehensile tongues to remove leaves from prickly acacia branches.

Finally, visit the Kazuri Bead Factory which is located in Karen and specializes in hand made jewellery, as well as pottery ware that reflects the culture and wildlife of Kenya. Their mission is to provide and sustain employment opportunities for disadvantaged members of Kenyan Society. Here you will have a tour of the factory and seeing how each individual bead is made with an opportunity to buy them
