Kazuri beads factory is our next venue. The Kazuri Bead Factory is located in Karen and specializes in hand made jewellery, as well as pottery ware that reflects the culture and wildlife of Kenya. Their mission is to provide and sustain employment opportunities for disadvantaged members of Kenyan Society. They employ over 400 women, mostly single mothers who participate daily in the molding, designing and making of jewellery and pottery kitchen appliances. 3. Ocean sole-Ocean sole is a local factory that makes gifts from flip flop. Its a cleaning environment excersice that involves collection of flip flops from oceans and other areas of deposits. Utamaduni crasfts shop_The shop, a converted Kikuyu house with 18 shops, is a treasure trove of African crafts, antiques and art, with friendly staff to assist and help pack or ship if needed. Each shop has different items displayed for your shopping taste. After shopping stop and have refreshments in the large beautiful garden restaurant and if you are a bird watcher the many exotic birds will keep you entertain. 5. matbronze nairobi karen_ Matbronze is situated in historical Karen, a suburb of Nairobi – originally Karen Blixen’s coffee farm. Matbronze has one of the largest display of wildlife bronzes in Africa. Over six hundred pieces, ranging from cuff-links to life size crocodiles. From cute cub footprints to large lion track trays.
