Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi

Stop At: Nairobi, Nairobi
Following your flight, the Odyssey Safari staff will greet you at the airport and load your bags for transport to the Safari Park Hotel.

Once you are settled in, you may select an optional activity or simply relax at the hotel for the trip ahead.

Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli

Stop At: Amboseli National Park, Amboseli National Park, Amboseli Eco-system, Rift Valley Province
After breakfast, our adventures in the bush begin in the spectacular Amboseli National Park. Romantically situated in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is famous for its tremendous variety of big game. We will arrive just in time for lunch.

After lunch, we will conduct a game drive on your way to the lodge.

Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from lions, cheetah, wildebeest, and giraffes to baboons.

Day 3: Exploring Amboseli National Park

Stop At: Amboseli Eco-system, Amboseli Eco-system, Rift Valley Province
The day starts with breakfast followed by a morning game drive in the park. Amboseli offers opportunities for viewing large herds of elephants and nearly every vista within the park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Today you will have a chance to visit the masai village to learn about their culture.

A visit to Observation Hill allows for an overall view of the whole park, especially the swamp which hosts many elephants, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of waterfowls like pelican, and Egyptian goose.

Have lunch and continue with your game drive in the afternoon

Day 4: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha

Today our adventures begin with a morning game drive to finish exploring the majestic wildlife within Amboseli National Park. Upon finishing your game drive, enjoy a delicious breakfast and prepare to depart for Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for an afternoon lunch.

There are a wide range of optional activities to choose from to finish out your day.

Maybe a boat ride on the lake? How about an informative nature walk at Crescent Island discovering the unique wildlife that roams within it? Or you may wish to lounge by the pool admiring the view of zebras, giraffes ad waterbuck just outside the fence.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha

Our adventures begin as we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. Once we arrive, set out on a captivating game drive where we will explore the diversity of wildlife that roams within.

Enjoy a wonderful picnic lunch at our favorite scenic point that overlooks the entirety of the lake, then continue your search for leopard and rhino. The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
This morning we will drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains, famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is also the home of the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino.

Take your first glimpses of the vast savannah and wildlife on your way to the camp. Lunch at the camp and then depart on an afternoon game run. The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wilderness areas of the world where large mammals are varied and easy to see.

Evening game drive – 3.30 p.m. to 6.45 p.m.

Day 7: Discover The Masai Mara

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.

Wake up to the sights and sounds of one of the world’s premier wildlife destinations. In the Masai Mara Reserve live 95 species of mammals and 570 species of birds; an impressive number, making this area an unique destination for game safaris, one of the best places in all of Africa.

Stop At: Balloon Safaris Ltd, Narok Town KEEKOROK, Narok, Kenya
Balloon flights typically take off at 6.30am. Passengers arrive in time to watch the balloon inflation as the pilots torch the colored fabric to life. The flight is for one hour, each one different path and following the days prevailing winds. A Balloon flight allows passengers to float over the world’s most spectacular game reserve, and offers a magical bird’s eye view of the annual wildebeest migration and the other wildlife the Mara is famous for. On landing, the balloon crew set up a full champagne breakfast complete with “Bloody Mary’s” on the Mara plains. Each passenger then receives a certificate from their pilot as a special memoir of their flight. A game drive en route to the lodge or camp ends a special morning

Day 8: Finish safari and Fly to Zanzibar

Return to Nairobi from the safari with the group and transfer to the airport directly for your flight to Zanzibar.

Known as the Spice Island, the beautiful island of Zanzibar on Africa’s east coast is bursting with culture and history, seemingly at odds with its idyllic geography of white-sand beaches with palms swaying lazily in the sea breeze. Together this makes Zanzibar a fabulous place to explore as well as a dream to relax and unwind.

On arrival, you are met in the airport by the Villa staff that transfers you to the villa for check-in.

Stop At: Prison Island – Changuu Private Island, Off the Coast From Stone Town Shangani, Stone Town, Zanzibar City 3395 Tanzania
Also known as Changuu Island, is an island situated west of Zanzibar, about 20 minutes ride by motorboat. It measures about a half a mile long an eight wide. Slave owners formerly use it as a private detention for disobedient
slaves. It was then bought by Gen. Matthews who constructed a jail on it,hence the name prison Island, but prison was never put into use. It still stands derelict. Off this Island, clients can swim and snorkel, and walk around to see the giant tortoises. Lunch can be arranged on the island
