Nairobi, as a capital city is unique in having a wildlife park on its doorstep. The tour to Nairobi National Park takes you to this unique wildlife sanctuary only 7 kms from the Nairobi bustling City Centre where you have chance to see 4 of the Big 5 (expect the elephant) against the back drop of the city tall buildings. Rhinos, buffaloes, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, lion and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in this open plains country with a section of highland forest as well as stretches of broken bush country, deep, rocky valleys and gorges with scrub and long grass. Ornithologists catch with over 300 bird species including the Secretary bird, crowned cranes, vultures, woodpeckers and many more.

David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, is open to public between 11am and 12 noon every day, where one can see the elephants being fed and playing. there is a keeper who will give a talk about the elephants, their origin, how they are getting on, and how some of the previous orphans are progressing. You can get really close to the elephants. The orphanage also takes in rhinos and if you are lucky a chance to see a young Rhino close up.
