Itinerary

Day 1: NAIROBI TO LAKE NAKURU

Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park Kenya
Depart your Nairobi hotel 7AM head to Lake Nakuru Park, regarded by avid birders’ as the greatest World ornithological spectacle on the Earth, arriving by mid morning at Lake Nakuru for a game drive en route before checking-in for Lunch. Afternoon game drive followed by a walk along the shores which will also allow us to see the many wild animals in the park and especially the park is the Sanctuary to the Rhinos and the Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 2: NAKURU TO MASAI MARA

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
Soon after breakfast, drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley the longest rift in the crust of the Earth to Masai Mara Game Reserve the unspoiled Savannah. Masai Mara is actually the northern portion of the Great Plains ecosystem in the neighboring Tanzania called Serengeti. It is a home to the “big five” lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard and elephant as well cheetah, zebra, giraffe and vast herds of plain antelope and numerous and other wildlife. Accommodation will be at an excellent lodge. After lunch and some time to relax and perhaps take a dip in the pool, you will depart with your driver guide for an afternoon game drive in search of the big five. As sun starts to edge dip into the horizon, it will be perfect time to photograph the beautiful Mara rolling plains

Day 3: Full Day Masai Mara (Option Hot Air Balloon Safari)

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Narok 00100 Kenya
At 7:30 a.m., start a full-day game drive all the way to the Mara River, the site of the great wildebeest migration. Eat a picnic lunch in the park at 1 p.m. Complete the game drive and return to your accommodation at 4 p.m. In the evening, visit a Masai village to learn more about their culture for an hour. Eat dinner and enjoy free time in the evening

Day 4: Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti Hippo Pool, Mageso Chember, Serengeti National Park Tanzania
After breakfast enjoy your last game drive in Masai Mara en route to the Kenya/Tanzania boarder Isebania, where you will exchange vehicle after immigration formalities, afternoon drive to Serengeti National Park where you will enjoy game drives through Northern corridors of Serengeti where the great migration is preparing itself to start the great migration of crossing the Mara River to the low grass land Savana of the Masai Mara, Serengeti is perhaps the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, impala, buffalo, birds and up to ten thousand elephants.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Northern Corridor. (Option Hot Air Balloon Safari)

Morning and evening game drives through west-north corridors of Serengeti where the great migration is preparing itself to start their journey back to northern Serengeti where they will cross the Mara River from The Mara Reserve in Kenya. Serengeti is perhaps the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
After breakfast Descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. The bottom of the crater dotted with watering-holes, shelters almost 30 000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. You will find the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard among others. Ngorongoro crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meter from the floor, it is considered to be one of the Wonders of the Natural World and is a veritable haven for wildlife. Day 7: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park Tanzania
After breakfast depart to Lake Manyara National Park, full day game drive, picnic lunch served in the park. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is one of the most beautiful places in Africa. The Park is dramatically marked off by lush green vegetation consisting of tall trees of the ground water forest, which provide home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Further down, the forest opens up into woodland, grassland, swamps and beyond, the soda lake itself where over 350 species of birds, including the lively flamingo, pelican, sacred ibis, grebe and stork can be viewed. At the southern end of the Park are hot sulphur springs called MajiMoto. Manyara is noted for its numerous buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo, as well as a great variety of smaller animals, and of course the very elusive tree-climbing lions. Day 8: Lake Manyara to Tarangire National Park

Stop At: Babati, tanzania, Tarangire National Park 3134 Tanzania
After Breakfast, depart with your naturalist guide for Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephants. A bush walk and a cultural visit with the semi-nomadic tribes are also included. Later evening drive to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge

Day 9: Tarangire to Arusha.

Stop At: Arusha Tanzania, Arusha, Tanzania
After breakfast at the lodge proceed to morning game drive at A Tarangire National Park safari boasts large herds of elephant and buffalo, and a remarkable concentration of big cats and is one of the best National Parks in Tanzania. The African wild dog, kudu, oryx and gerenuk, rarely found in other parks in the northern circuit, can also be found here, along with arguably the best bird diversity in Africa. More than 550 species are attracted to its vibrant swamps. Then drive back to Arusha for drop off to your Arusha Hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport. Lunch is included
