Itinerary

Day 1: NAIROBI – TSAVO

Stop At: Nairobi, Nairobi
We start early for our Kenya safari tour via Nairobi – Mombasa highway.There shall be a pit stop for breakfast and refreshments along the safari route.

Stop At: Tsavo National Park East, Tsavo National Park East, Coast Province
Tsavo East National Park is considered to be one of the oldest and largest National Park in Kenya which is spread across 13,747 sq. km. It is said to be one of the world’s largest biodiversity stronghold. The National Park take cares of the famous “big five” that includes Masai lion, Black rhino, Cape buffalo, Elephant and Leopard. It is also home to Aardwolf, Yellow baboon, Bat, Cape buffalo, Bushbaby, Bushbuck, Caracal, African wildcat, Tanzanian cheetah, African civet, dik-dik, African elephant, Bat-eared fox and Greater galago among others.

From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges including the Poacher’s Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler.

Stop At: Chyulu Hills National Park, Chyulu Hills National Park, Eastern Province
erdant rolling hills of endless green, great blue skies and spectacular landscape views are what the Chyulu Hills provide to nature lovers. Large mammals include buffalo, bushbucks, elands, elephants, leopards, giant forest hogs, bush pigs, reedbucks and giraffes along with various reptiles and insects. Horse riding, camping, mountain climbing and bird watching can be enjoyed in this hidden part of paradise.

Stop At: Mzima Springs, Mageso Chember, Tsavo National Park West 00200 Kenya
Mzima Springs is an oasis of green in the west of the park that produces an incredible 250 million litres of fresh water a day. The springs, whose source rises in the Chyulu Hills, provides the bulk of Mombasa’s fresh water. A walking trail leads along the shoreline. The drought in 2009 took a heavy toll on the springs’ hippo population; the population is stable at around 20 individuals. There are also crocodiles and a wide variety of birdlife.

Day 2: TSAVO WEST – AMBOSELI

Stop At: Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

Amboseli belongs in the elite of Kenya’s national parks, and it’s easy to see why. Day 3: AMBOSELI – NAIROBI

Stop At: Nairobi National Museum, Museum Hill, Nairobi 00100 Kenya
We wThe National Museum in Nairobi is an educational way to spend a few hours on a city stopover. The museum displays diverse cultural and natural history exhibits including more than 900 stuffed birds and mammals, fossils from Lake Turkana, ethnic displays from various Kenyan tribal groups, and exhibits of local art.ill be early again!
The sunrise and emergence of the Kilimanjaro mountain peak from the clouds is dramatic “weather permitting”.We will marvel at the vistas as we enjoy our breakfastas we check out from the hotel.We shall enjoy a mid morning game drive as we depart for Nairobi.We re-join the Nairobi Mombasa highway and proceed to Nairobi.
Arrive Nairobi in the late afternoon.

Stop At: Karen Blixen Museum, Karen Rd Langata, Nairobi Kenya
the Karen Blixen Museum, at the foot of the Ngong Hills, is the former home of the famous namesake Out of Africa author. Karen Blixen, also known by her pen name, Isak Dinesen, lived in the house from 1917 to 1931, where she ran a coffee plantation. Today, you can tour the well-preserved colonial farmhouse, a kitchen in a separate building, a coffee-drying plant in the woodland, and an agricultural college on the grounds. Furniture that belonged to Karen Blixen and her husband is on display, as well as photographs and books owned by Karen and her lover, Denys Finch Hatton. Enthusiastic guides bring the story of Karen Blixen and colonial Kenya to life.

National Archives spotlights Kenyan tribal culture as well as the country’s art, history, and politics. The main floor gallery displays historical documents and a collection of photographs. Paintings and artifacts from the collection of Joseph Murumbi, one of Africa’s most famous collectors, dominate the exhibits. The second floor houses more art, a display of postage stamps, and the National Archives reading room, which is used for personal and professional projects.
