Itinerary
Day 1: DIANI / MOMBASA NAIROBI – TSAVO WEST
Stop At: Tsavo National Park West, Tsavo National Park West, Coast Province
Depart the Kenya Coast/Nairobi at 0530 Hrs for the inland Kenya safaris tour via the Mombasa-Nairobi highway. The 240 km, 4-hour journey through tarmac and gravel roads will be broken en-route on a refreshments stopover. We will enter the Tsavo West and commence game viewing towards the direction of Rhino valley. After check in, we will freshen up and enjoy a buffet lunch. Here, laws of the jungle apply. Activities cease when the sun is up. In the late afternoon, we will venture out to the Rhino Sanctuary with some game viewing en-route to try your chances at spotting this endangered species. It’s game viewing with the throws of sunset as we head back to our bases for dinner and overnight Rhino valley

Day 2: TSAVO WEST-AMBOSELI
Stop At: Amboseli National Park, Amboseli National Park, Amboseli Eco-system, Rift Valley Province
Sunset finds us ready and out for our pre-breakfast game viewing drive. We will visit the Mzima Springs and explore on foot this volcanic wonder marveling at the hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish, and tropical vegetation together with resident and migratory bird species. We return to our base for breakfast before checking out and proceeding further south to the Amboseli National Park. The 2-hour journey on gravel tracks gets us to our accommodation bases in Amboseli. We will check in at Kibo safari camp, freshen up, enjoy lunch, and relax bidding our time for the natural circus that awakens when the sun begins its journey down. Your game viewing drive will be short, detailed, and comprehensive. Amboseli is small and sparse of vegetation, animal spotting is easy and fast, the Mt. Kilimanjaro in its majesty will shear off the clouds, snow will gleam on its peak and Africa in its entire splendor will be smiling at you. It is a sight to behold, a photographer’s moment for those magical memories. We will return to the base for meals and overnight at Kibo safari camp.

Day 3: AMBOSELI-TSAVO EAST
Stop At: Tsavo National Park East, Tsavo National Park East, Coast Province
Dawn at Amboseli: Yet another date with Kilimanjaro. We will game watch as we exit after a hearty breakfast. A bumpy start before we re-join the highway, Nairobi – Mombasa, for your last leg; the Tsavo East National Park. Arrival at Ashnil Aruba lodge for check-in, freshening up, lunch and relaxation.Your evening game drive will be slow and appreciative “no hurry in Africa” is the norm now. No clamor for snaps, we will drink in the serenity of the jungle while reflecting on the essence of nature. Your driver guide will be more informative on animal behavior and keen on pointing out characteristics. We return to our base for dinner and overnight Ashnil Aruba lodge

Day 4: TSAVO EAST-DIANI
Stop At: Diani Beach, Diani Beach, Ukunda, Coast Province
Dawn finds us ready for our early morning game viewing drive. Tsavo is expansive and open. We will explore this vastness in a relaxed style with more time spent at our sightings. We return to your base and check out. A last lap of honor will follow in your optional post-breakfast game drive followed by lunch at Voi and a relaxed drive back to the Coast. We will then drive to Diani to your hotel where you will check in for the night. Accommodation will be on the basis of bed and breakfast only.

Day 5: DIANI
Stop At: Diani Beach, Diani Beach, Ukunda, Coast Province
Wake up for the breakfast and spend the rest of your day in your hotel at your wish. You can spend the day by the pool, in your room all have a taste of sandy beaches of Diani. You can also decide to spend the day shopping in the amzing articraft shops, massive cloth lines and amazing shopping malls and supermarkets of Diani. Diani Beach has been awarded the best beach destination in Africa for 5 years running and is popular with families, honeymooners, backpackers and water-sports enthusiasts alike. From visiting its marine national park, diving with dolphins and sea turtles, spotting whale sharks, kitesurfing, skydiving and nightlife. You can decide to enjoy the rest of your stay in Diani Beach at your Pace.

Day 6: Mombasa City Tour
Stop At: Mombasa, Mombasa, Coast Province
You will be picked from your hotel at around 8.00 am and drive to Mombasa, a distance of 30 kms from Diani arriving at around 8.30am. Visit the Akamba hand craft (where you will learn about the wood carvings). Akamba hand craft is one of the largest wood carvings industry and market in Kenya. There after, visit the Indian temple where you will learn about the Hinduism and Lord Swaminarayan and Lord Rama. You will also have the chance to see the elephant tusks which are found along Moi Avenue built in 1952 in the memory of King George of England during the British colonial period. During this time Queen Elizabeth was in Kenya where she became the Queen of England after the death of King George.
Visit the Fort Jesus which was built by the Portuguese in 1593 by architecture from Goa. It later became the government prison during the British colonial period in 1947. Fort Jesus was named fort because the Portuguese were Christians and they sailed with the flag of Jesus. It was built mainly for protection and to control the harbor of Mombasa. There arose war between the Arabs and the Portuguese from 1593 – 1729 where many of them died due to starvation and yellow fever.
You will also explore the old town where you will walk along the narrow streets and visit the old harbor where you will see the old Arabic boats and one of the oldest mahindry mosque found near the old harbor. Proceed to the market where you will learn about the food spices, foods and vegetables. Meet different traders buying and selling different types of goods. Proceed for lunch at Roberto’s Italian Restaurant.
After lunch, visit the Haller park where you may feed the giraffes, see the crocodiles and hippos feeding. This is private sanctuary owned and managed by Dr. Haller. The landscape is attractive covered by casuarinas, bamboos and eucalyptus trees. The animals are harmless and feel as if in paradise because they have enough food and water. It’s a home to buffalos, eland antelopes, giraffes, water bucks, oryx, snakes, crocodiles, hippos, tortoise and different types of birds’ species. Mombasa is an island covering an area of 20km2 and the second largest city in Kenya after Nairobi. It has a bridge to the north side (North coast), the ferry to the south (south coast) which ferries people to and from Mombasa city and to the west Causeway. Mombasa also has the largest and the most busy sea port in east and central Africa. Drive back to the Hotel at around 5.00 pm.

Day 7: DIANI – WASINI ISLAND
Stop At: Wasini Island, Wasini Island, Coast Province
You will be picked from your hotel at around 7.15 am and drive to Wasini Island along Mombasa – Lunga Lunga highway. Arrive at Shimoni Jet where you will board an Arabic dhow and sail for one hour searching for dolphins. Sail to Kisite Marine National Park where you will snorkel and swim. Animals seen here include turtles, marine tortoise, coral reefs and different types of marine fishes.
You will have your lunch at the island which is mainly sea food and Swahili dishes. After lunch, you will sail along the mangrove swamps and then visit the Wasini Island where you will learn more about the Swahili people and the Arabs history.
Also there is an option of visiting the Shimoni Slave Caves. This is where slaves were “stored” before being shipped off to Arabia in the early 18th century. Arrive at the jet at around 4.00 pm thereafter drive back to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight at your hotel

Day 8: DIANI FULL DAY
Stop At: Diani Beach, Diani Beach, Ukunda, Coast Province
We will pick you up with glass boat in the morning after breakfast from your hotel and sail to Chale Island. Enjoy snorkeling or quiet swimming in the lagoon. From there we will drive by boat to Gazi beach for an amazing sand bath and local women boardwalk. Gazi Women Boardwalk is a project aimed at enhancing the productivity, stability, and functional integrity of mangrove ecosystems and fisheries production in Kenya. Chale Island is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Africa for beach weddings, honeymoons, large family holidays, or for special events, exclusive business meetings. You will then have the rest of the afternoon to swim either in the pool or the beach. The picturesque shoreline is included among the best beaches in Kenya. The views on inland mangrove lakes to the West and open Indian Ocean to the East are breathtaking! It has a fine sandy beach with much sea weed witnessed every morning due to high tide. This is the true paradise for those who are looking for an escape from it all.
You will then sail back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: DIANI
