Overview

This is a 3 day private safari tour. We will pick you up and drop you off from anywhere in Nairobi or Nanyuki. Visit Ol Pejeta conservancy and your accommodation will be at sweetwaters serena camp (5 stars) which is located inside the conservancy. Lots of animal spotting from your camp. Daily comprehensive game drives are included. Itinerary

Day 1: Departure To Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Pass By: Laikipia, Kenya
We will pick you up from anywhere within Nairobi or Nanyuki Depart at 06:00am or a later time of your choosing from Nairobi and head north into the fertile central highlands. You will pass roadside stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables as well as some of Kenya’s largest pineapple plantations and orchards

Stop At: Equator Marker, Nyeri – Nanyuki Road, Nanyuki Town, Nanyuki Municipality 10400 Kenya
We will stop at the Equator line. The Nanyuki town, which is right in the center of Kenya is known mainly for its equator point and hoardes of locals and tourists alike pay a visit just to stand on the equator. But for those who are technically interested, locals arrange for an experiment to depict how the Coriolis effect works.

Stop At: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki Private Bag, 10400 Kenya
Arrive at Ol Pejeta conservancy a brief stop to register at the conservancy entrance. Entrance fees are included dont worry you wont have to pay anything. We will then proceed to our lodge Sweetwaters serena camp (5 stars). On the way to the lodge you will drive through the park with glimpses of wildlife for the game drives hat are to come. Get settled at your safari camp and have lunch. An afternoon game drive will follow to explore the outstanding conservancy famous for the largest population of rhinos and the big 5. You are in control of how long you would like the game drive to last with the latest being 6pm.

Return to camp for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Game drives in Olpejeta and a Trip To Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve

Stop At: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki Private Bag, 10400 Kenya
Early morning breakfast in the camp. Set off early for a morning game drive to witness the animal kingdom at its most active hour, search for the conservancy large population of rhinos and astounding variety of animals including non-indigenous chimpanzees and the Big Five (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo & lion). Choose to visit the chimpanzee sanctuary or the rhino sanctuary at an extra cost. Or if your really feeling adventurous choose to go on a horse riding safari at an extra cost. You choose to have a picnic lunch or lunch at the lodge.

Stop At: Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve, 58FM JM Timau, Meru Mt. Kenya, Nanyuki Town, Nanyuki Municipality 10400 Kenya
After lunch we will set off to the beautiful Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve. We will arrive at Ngare Ndare .On getting to the forest, an armed ranger and a guide will be assigned to you. After a short briefing about the forest and Ngare Ndare Forest Trust, we will set out on a 7km hike to the famous waterfalls. the forest is home to 7 waterfalls. The grandeur of the waterfalls will leave you speechless.

We will continue with our hike to a much smaller waterfall but the beauty of this one is that swimmers can dive into the pool.

We will then go for the the canopy walk. It is 10 meters high and 450 meters long, being the longest and highest canopy walk in East Africa. This is peoples favorite part of the trip and the wobbly bridge makes it all the more exciting. The forest is vast and you might just spot an elephant or a leopard.

Please note this is optional if you prefer you can choose to stay in Ol Pejeta conservancy for a full day game drive.

After our fun day we will then arrive back at Ol Pejeta Conservancy for a game drive on the way back to camp.

Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 3: Game Drives, Chimpanzee sanctuary and Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy. Followed by final departure.

Early morning breakfast in the camp. Followed by morning game drives to witness the animal kingdom at its most active.
Return Back to camp and check out.

We will then proceed to Ol pejetas Chimpamzee sanctuary where these chimpanzees have been rescued from all over the world

After leaving Ol Pejeta we will then take a short drive to Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy.

Just at the foot at Mount Kenya is another beautiful haven of wildlife, the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy. Set up with the key goal of rescuing, nurturing and rehabilitating all wild creatures that need help, this conservancy’s location gives it a unique sense of appeal for mountaineering lovers and highland life. No words can well explain the experience of waking up to panoramic views of Mount Kenya. The nearby Mount Kenya Forest creates a cool resemblance of the Swiss Alps that form the Alpine region of Switzerland.

Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy also plays a great role of conserving one of the most beautiful antelopes in Kenya, the mountain bongo, a greatly endangered species. The professional staff at the conservancy is also involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals that have been injured. Lovers of wildlife and conservation who visit the conservancy never resist an opportunity to contribute in one way or one another to conservation effort. You could even get a chance to adopt a young animal, see it grow and develop into the wild!

Epic experiences in the wild can be created on helicopter or horse-back safaris. Adventure and sport lovers also have the opportunity to go mountaineering and hiking on neighboring Mount Kenya, golfing at the Mount Kenya Safari Club, play tennis, lawn bowling, sport fishing, fly fishing and gliding in the clear mountain streams.
